Dr Najeeb Al-Shorbaji is President of the eHealth Development Association, President of the Jordan Library and Information Association, President of the Middle East and North Africa Association of Health Informatics and Vice-President of the International Medical Informatics Association. A Visiting Professor at Ain Shams University College of Medicine, Egypt and a Part-time Professor at the PLRI, Germany. Currently advisor to eMarefa in Jordan. Worked as Director of Knowledge, Ethics and Research at WHO/HQ Geneva 2008 to 2015 when he retired. Between 1988 and 2008 he worked as Coordinator for Knowledge Management and Sharing, Regional Advisor for Information and Telecommunication Technology and Information Scientist at the WHO Regional Office in Amman, Alexandria and Cairo. Prior to that he held other positions in Jordan and Dubai. He holds a PhD in Information Science since 1986. He has published over 210 papers, book chapters and presentations. Attended, presented, and delivered keynote addresses in over 170 conferences.
